Service Description

The Multi Radiance ActiVet Pro laser is commonly known as low-level light therapy (LLLT) or "cold" laser; as it doesn't heat the tissue or have the potential to burn, causing tissue damage. The ActiVet Pro laser utilizes a Super-Pulsed Laser producing very high powered impulses of infrared light, but for a very brief duration - like an ultra-fast strobe light preventing tissue damage. Different outputs of light are applied directly to the targeted area. The body tissues then absorb the light causing a cellular-level reaction. The damaged cells respond with a physiological reaction that promotes cellular regeneration, repairing damaged tissues. Wavelengths from 660 nanometer range to 860-905 nm are used. The process itself is painless. There is a slight humming sound, with no vibration or heat felt. Each bout takes only a few minutes. Depending on what area and condition is being targeted - the procedure may need to be repeated for several days for optimum results. The Multi Radiance ActiVet line of lasers are the only laser on the market with the 465 nm blue light that can resolve tough infections resistant to antibiotics, including MRSA. There are probe attachments that allow the laser to reach difficult areas - like inside the ear or inside the mouth. Many conditions respond well to LLLT, such as bowed or torn tendons and ligaments, strains, osteoarthritis, post-op incisions and many more. Multi Radiance Super Pulsed Lasers are cleared by FDA and other regulatory agencies. We will work with your veterinarian to develop an effective protocol when rehabilitation of a specific injury is involved.
